  1. When I was a little girl, my mother decided that I needed a dollhouse of my own. My older sister had one (and, given that I've always loved a work in progress, I loved it) and my mother thought I should have one, too. The new dollhouse was white and tan. It had a long, narrow staircase that were only visible through the tan bedroom doors, leaving the player with no choice but to sort of chuck Barbie down the stairs and hope for the best. Luckily, the window was not located at the bottom of the stairs, but to the right of it.

So, what was my favorite memory about the dollhouse? My cousin and I would take turns with the two dollhouses. We would spend hours organizing the dishes and assorted kitchen essentials, filling the closets with clothes on little plastic hangers, and imagining a world beyond our own. It's funny: we had more fun decorating and arranging the dollhouses than we ever had with the Barbie Dolls.

As for following you on Instagram, I neither have nor want one. I hope that doesn't disqualify me.

    1. Hi Kristin, What a lovely story to share. I too had a dollhouse as a girl and was obsessed with decorating it and the kitchen was my favorite room because of the dishes and miniature foods! No worries, about the Instagram account - you are still eligible to win! Thank you again for sharing your story ;) Ashley
