One of things I pined for while living abroad, were the Halloween decorations in Hoboken. About five years ago, I started teaching art classes to kids in the '14th Street' area of Hoboken, NJ. I was walking back to the train one night, and realized almost every single home on Garden Street was decorated with amazing, over the top, Halloween decor. Luckily the tradition lives on today...
So, if you have time this week and want to really get in the spooky spirit, start your tour on 14th Street and Garden, then wander all the way down to First Street. You won't regret it!

Don't even know how they did this - but it looks cool!

I think this is my favorite scene of all time. Just love it.
There's something so sweet about this scene from a local elementary school. Reminds me of childhood.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into one of my favorite neighborhoods. Please do leave a comment if you have your own fabulous neighborhood to nominate that we can all check out!
