One of things I pined for while living abroad, were the Halloween decorations in Hoboken. About five years ago, I started teaching art classes to kids in the '14th Street' area of Hoboken, NJ. I was walking back to the train one night, and realized almost every single home on Garden Street was decorated with amazing, over the top, Halloween decor. Luckily the tradition lives on today...
So, if you have time this week and want to really get in the spooky spirit, start your tour on 14th Street and Garden, then wander all the way down to First Street. You won't regret it!
