Every Thursday I teach a book club in Manhattan called, 'The Book Blossoms (to find out more about different club locations just click on the link!)'. The children always make me smile when it comes to their willingness to embrace new books and get creative - either by writing original poems and stories or by creating their own artwork. Last week, I threw my own book into the mix during a character art session. I was tickled beyond belief that the children took a shot at drawing Iggie - and they did such a beautiful job!
I was inspired so much by their artwork, I wanted to offer a free 'How to Draw Iggie the Hedgehog' printable graphic to my readers, which can find below. This page appears in the book itself, but for those that just like the drawing part - this one is for you!
Iggie's body starts with a simple egg shape, and then the fun continues from there ;) Start with light pencil outline, and then trace with a thin tipped sharpie, removing the pencil lines with an eraser after.
