Simple Valentine Wreath

Simple Valentine Wreath | Linzer Lane Blog

Dear Friends & Family that follow the blog - sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted! Leon has been keeping me busier than ever, but I’m going to vow to add something here once a month to keep you posted on our crafty adventures. If you’re in Hoboken this February, please stop by the Valentine Pop Up I’ll be hosting at West Elm... prints and greeting cards will be available for purchase.

I got a precious few hours to craft alone this week, so I made a little something for our door. To make your own Valentines Day Wreath, use the inside of a wooden embroidery hoop as the form. Loop a piece of nice ribbon to the top for hanging. Cut hearts out of felt and hot glue them to the hoop, being sure to alternate colors as you go... Add some extra sparkle with liquid glitter (mine is from OOLY).

DIY Sticker Trees for Christmas

DIY Sticker Trees for Christmas | Linzer Lane Blog

This Christmas my husband and I are living in a New York City sublet and couldn't bring our hundreds of decorations with us, I didn't want to buy anything too large to decorate with - so I was quite happy to find a tiny, tabletop Christmas tree at the dollar store;)

To make your own cute 'sticker tree', all you need are some cute stickers (preferably similar to these sturdy plastic bubble types from Flyer Tiger).

Using a glue gun, attach one sticker to the end of each tree branch like so:

One sheet should be enough to cover the whole tree fairly nicely. Don't forget to add one nice ornament to the top for a finishing touch.

I used a little coffee filter as a snow skirt and added some of my paper and clay characters below to add some cheer under the tree ;)

Display all your gifts next to the tree for a super festive  look perfect for any small space or apartment dwelling. Add tinsel and lights to complete the look!
