*New* Animal ABC Products for Back to School

A few months ago I started to imagine how cute it would be to organize all the 'Linzer Lane' characters I've drawn over the last few years from A - Z. I also thought it might be great timing to release a line of ABC products to coincide with back to school season!

Even though Leon is only 9 months old, his presence daily inspired me greatly as I embarked on this new range of products perfect for moms and teachers alike.

My Inspo Wall

Pretty much ever since I can remember - I've had a pattern of taping and hanging things up on a wall near my desk that inspired me. I started the practice in high school, when I was fascinated with liquor ads in magazines. These days, anything with a cute animal on it will get my attention. 

To create your own 'inspo' or inspiration wall at home, a nice place to start is by adding a garland in the middle of wall. I just happened to make mine with paper hearts. Punch two holes in each heart and thread a pretty string through after adding some lettering to your garland.

Add artwork, photos and advertisements that inspire you to create!

My mom painted this for me after our fish passed away this year - Doodle & Sketch. It's a great reminder of them and how much I loved them for 6 years!

After posting a YouTube video online about drawing faces, my niece promptly drew all the faces and sent them to me in the mail. She's very industrious.

Apple Tree Wall Mural

When we moved into our studio apartment this March, the previous tenant left a plaster wall that she built herself. I was grateful to have the separation, but had no idea how to really integrate it into our home. The plaster was crumbling off of it, and my husband David suggested patching it with some putty we originally bought for the bathroom.

Luckily my little touch up job worked, but we were left with an ugly line of puffy plaster in the middle of the wall (which unfortunately you can't see here)...

That's when David had the brilliant idea of drawing a tree on the wall to cover the line!

That's when my wheels started turning ;) I wanted something very simple, Scandinavian and child friendly - so this is what I came up with!

My sister-in-law has a few apple trees in her yard in Austria, and we would often lay under them and enjoy the beautiful apples, moss, and the occasional green worm trying to eat a meal.
