Citrus has been all the rage this season, and I've noticed oranges in particular are very popular. I had some extra blood oranges to use up, so what better way than with this cute craft?
All you need to do is slice an orange in half, and then in half again so you get a 'quarter' wedge like shown above. Add a little acrylic paint with a paintbrush to the bottom of the orange wedge and stamp it onto a solid colored sheet of wrapping paper like so:
A simple stamp like this one could be used as a valentine itself by writing, "Orange Ya Gonna Be Mine?" or something silly like that inside your card! ;)
While making Valentine dinner for your sweetie, this idea of using a clementine rind as a votive is pretty impressive! I came across this craft on Apartment Therapy.
My 'candle' only lasted 10 minutes, but I feel it would have lasted a little longer if I would have added more olive oil. For the complete how to, follow the link above. It's pretty neat!
Have a lovely Valentine's Day!
